Dominican Population Doubled in Seattle, News at 11
by Joe
My brother Rene and his wife Rose came over from NY and spent a week with us vacationing in Sea-Town. Â It was a great time and we were throwing down some serious Dominican food with the industrial-size luggage of Salchichon, Platanos, Yuca, Batata, Sofrito, and Queso Frito that he brought over. I'm amazed Homeland Security let him through the airline gate with all that stuff!
But boy was I glad to have some home-cooked traditional Dominican food. We weren't able to do much since Norma was on Dr's orders to stay on bedrest, but we got out for little mini-excursions in the afternoons after Norma finished with her work and had a good time anyway.
When Rose busted out the Sancocho - I as ready to pull a Fred Sanford and say I died and went to heaven.  Ok, I better change the subject before I start going through withdrawals again. But all in all - we had a great time and it was good to have family over our house to relax with.
